My local Ford Stealer has a 05 F-250 extended cab Powes Stroke 4X4. Cloth interior. Very nice truck. I havent driven it yet. Final "employe price" is 28,500.
I need to know:
Is this reasonable??
Stock everything, what kind of fuel economy could I expect? If I dont "hot rod" around.??
What kind of mainentaince expenses am I looking at?? Never owned or worked on an "oil burner" before.
How are these trucks?? I am NOT looking for a biased opinion. I need an honest assesment. My wife is pretty against the idea of a new 3/4 ton truck. BTW I HATE cars. I drove a Jeep Liberity with the CRD, that thing if for those of "large" stature.
The primary reason I'm lookin is gas prices. My dodge HEMI gets and rock steady 11.4mpg. I travel heavly for work, and while I get .36 cents a mile, that doesnt cover it, not when you include mainentance.
