I tend to take off from a light pretty quick if there is a Honda with a wing next to me, not shure why it's so fun. :doah:

HAHA yeah me too. I be sure to floor it so that a big cloud of black smoke pours out of the tailpipe rotfl That straight pipe roar helps to strike fear in the hearts of honda drivers :D

Back in the day I had a 71 chevelle that I modded a bit. Put in a hot 350, 750 4bbl, headers and 2.5" duals. But the clincher was the powerglide tranny with the shift kit. The car looked like utter crap and would sometimes drop a little body filler if I hit a bump too hard. So one day at a stoplight that lead to 4 lane highway I get this guy in an eagle talon of all things that wanted to race me. The light turned green and I was in first gear all the way to 70mph before that powerglide switched into drive, meanwhile that talon noob driver was trying to shift his manual for all he was worth. I finally got out of it when my front end started to lift up at 120mph.
That was back when I was young and stupid. I wouldn't do that now for nothing =o)

I used to smoke ricers all the time in my parents old 92 F350 Crewcab 4x4 with a 460 FI. That motor was pretty stout and I smoked alot of ricers in it. That 460 sucked alot of gas but it would flat haul some ass for as big as that truck was.
I have also put alot of ricers down for the count in my 73 Jeep CJ5. It has a 304 V8 and it will get a whole shot on alot of things, especially a 4 cylinder fart canner.

numerous hondas with shopping car wings... thats nothing to brag about.
the one that sticks in my head the most the car cold have easily beat me but the driver didn thave the guts. stop light to stop light at about 11:30pm on a friday night. two lights till im off base. (keep in mind, USMC Base camp pendleton is not a place to fool around like this but going off base and not comming back on for a day or two im comfy doing it) first light he played a bit. neither one of us got on it all the way. second light i put the hammer down as did he. both had a small chirp on first, this got the gate guards attention and both were looking at us hauling down the next 1/4 mile till off base. i chirped going into second and third and started to pull away, his auto shifted and started to catch up quick, into 4th and i was leaving again. he then backed off and crossed the line for off base fun... i slowed down and he honked as he passed. he was a good sport about it...
mine being a stick is a lot slower, but i have learned how to drive it faster than most could. the exhaust brake makes the hills fun. i get to push the truck a lot more than i would without it.
anyway, street light to street light if i get into third right ill beat most stock cars. my truck is stock so i try to play only with stockers.

haha, what a stupid thread. its a 7k truck, its not supposed to move fast. if you want a racecar go buy a stripped down light weight 2wd short bed regular cab pickup, or a sports car.
this stupid street racing is a waste of time. my power mods are for hill pulling, not for lining up next to little cars with I4's.
FYI, i have a fast truck ,but dont use it for that.....

You totally missed the point of this thread.:doah: I am pretty sure it is to show how stupid ricers are and if you did not mod your truck to eat rice then dont post about how stupid everyone else is as I am sure their rigs will also pull just fine. Who cares if they like to have fun when the bed is emptywaytogo .

The best is when your running a long hill pulling a trailor and some punk is riding your butt trying to pass you going down hill, but when the incline comes and you pass them up hill pouring smoke all over em. Can't beat it.

Agreed, my 01' Cummins is my first diesel. Me being used to gas motors I got used to downshifting going uphill, my Cummins doesnt even downshift pulling my K5, that is a great feeling when you pass the A#@ hole who thought he was all bad passing you when he was GOING DOWNHILL! Also, I will not lie, I modded my truck to "pull" better too, but I love beatin cocky guys in cars! The look on their faces are priceless!

I've smoked a bunch of ricers with my 5.3. I also beat my friend in his Dad's new F-150. THe 5.3 is a pretty quick motor.
Another friend's brother has a '89 Ram 350 dually with a newer Cummins he swapped in. Its also got stacks. I've seen him smoke a guy in a built Mustang with it!

I think all the fun is in the fact that I can get a 7000# truck to go as fas as a Vette. Why buy a stripped down race car?!
My rudest moment that comes to mind, well, I can't stop laghing!
Ok, I had a 2002 HO Cummins, Straight 4" piped, and a ton of fuel (thank you edge!) and a 6 speed. Well, after a year of hot rodding it around Chico, CA, I'd learned how to fog out whole intersections. Well, this Jackass in a civic or what ever with a wing was playing peekabo in my mirrors. After about 2 miles of this guy runing up next to me and then winding back up behind me I'd had enough. He wound up next to me at the next light. My buddy in the passenger seat is telling me to blow his doors off, but I had a better idea. he had both front windows open . . . .
So, I watch the other lights and they go yellow, almost my turn. Put is in second, just start to drag the clutch.
Green! Drop the clutch, grab fuel, and short shifter the crap out of it, grabbed 3rd at like 1500 rpms, and nailed it hard on top setting! I smoked so hard going past his windows that exhaust smoke came out of the passenger side of the car!!! We couldn't stop laughing. Needless to say, he stayed way away after that!

Beat a 7.3 today, sorry Budkole. ;) We were on the highway and I was pacin him after he had passed me. He punched it at about 70, and we went up to 100, with me having to slow down 3 times so as to not hit him (he was in my lane). There were a few cars in front, so he slowed down, and I went by in the next lane, he fell back.
A few minutes later, I was doin about 70, and I see him closin FAST! He was goin at least 90, so I floored it again up to 105, and the poor guy started gettin smaller in the rear view. He didn't want to play no mo after that and exited off soon after.
I bet the other drivers got a scare when they saw two huge trucks followin each other at over 100. These trucks are so strong (any of them), so fun to race another one.

Funny, the other day I was driving the wifes car and as I pulled up along side the passenger side of a Powerstroke at a red light (it had 5" exhaust etc.) I rolled up my window, the Wife said "what are you doing it's 90 degrees out" I told her, when you see a diesel exhaust that big and your parked right next to it, you might want to roll the windows up. Sure enough, black smoke everywhere. :D

So I am leaving work yesterday morning and a guy I work with is right behind me. He has a 99 F-250 7.3 that is in the shop right now so he's driving a loaner truck. We have a long access road into our place of employment. I look in my mirror and see him ease out beside me in the opposite lane. I have already got my comp set on 5-5(I know how he is and wanted to be ready just in casehttp://www.thedieselgarage.com/forums/images/smilies/evil3.gif ).I had to let off at 115mph because egt's were at 1450* (time for a new exhaust)and I was running out of road anyway. When he caught up at the traffic light we were both laughing our a**es off. I'm not sure how far ahead I was for all the smoke but it took him a little while to pull up next to mehttp://www.thedieselgarage.com/forums/images/smilies/lmao.gif .
He's got the 7.3 back today and we will be running the same stretch of road tomorrow. I'll let y'all know what happens.

There was a cocky "my diesel is the baddest thing" idiot on the interstate a while back... but he couldn't even keep up with the 4.0 Explorer I was driving. I guess you could call him a diesel ricer? He thinks he is cool, but really isn't.

My favorite one was right after i got my bully dog and my clutch was still good, i was on the crazy larry setting and a newer corvette pulled up next to me. it was a younger kid prob 16 or 17, he reved his engine and i reved mine, the light turned green and we took off, he was pullin away but when i hit 3rd gear i pulled away fast, and won, this continued on the highway at 100+. its fun beatin a corvette. and ive got 35's and a leveling kit.

A few weeks ago I was heading back from a diesel shop in Lakeside going to Del Mar, when I get on the freeway I noticed a brand new White dodge cummins when I passed him i gave a good stare he looked back at me and then the game was on we raced for nearly 25 miles and I let the coal roll several times on him and I could see him smiling and giving me a thumbs up when I got off on my exit I noticed he was behind me then he pulled up next to me and gave each other thumbs up.waytogo I think it was pretty cool of him to race around for that long and take going through the soot several times.
Another story is that we were at a stoplight and this girl was on her cell phone in the turn lane well i was going to go straight i knew she was going to cut me off so when the light turned green she cut me off so I flashed my HID lights at her then i got into the lane next to her and went right up to her window and stared at her when she turned to look at me I blew her a kiss and put my chip into the 6 setting (140 hp) and then accelerated a little further forward once my exhaust was near her window I let the coal roll and accelerated to 70 mph (quiet road) I could not see her truck behind me :stir:. I think she learned her lesson about being on the cell phone and cutting people off :pimp:.
those are my stories

Alright so im driving my dads Denali down this road and i saw this Tundra pull next to me just driving by. My dads Denali has about 380hp and im sure the tundra is close. So this guy takes off to get around the guy in front of him and he is acting all tuff about it and looks over at me. So i take off and im pushing like 85mph on this 45mph street. Eventually i pulled away and he turned off. I know i could have dominated his ass.
