View Full Version : Handshakers! Need ideas for a shift knob...

My truck should be here pretty soon and one of the first things I'd like to do is to get rid of the rubber/plastic shift knob. I've seen some around that are OK, but most seem to be aimed towards the ricier side of things...
Anybody have a recommendation for a shift knob that blends in well with an upscale interior? I may resort to a billet knob if I have to, but I'd prefer something more subtle and upscale than that, maybe a nice wood one that matches the dash or a nice comfy leather wrapped one.
Ayways, let me see what you guys have!

Those billet shifter knobs that are in the shape of a piston are kind of cool...

That would be cool on the trail truck but not on the tow rig. I want something a bit more upscale for the tow rig.waytogo

Wow, I'm reviving a bunch of old threads here.
Why not look into some stock shift knobs of other vehicles with 6 speeds? Where is reverse on that rowboat? If it's up and to the left, a Toyota Matrix XRS knob is pretty nice, and shouldn't be too expensive...
Just a thought.

Yep, up and to the left, 1 below that and so on... Not sure about the chrome on the Matrix knob, but it's a thought. Any idea how big the hole is on it? Ford has some funky push-on deal from what I understand...
