I am new to this forum and I have a question. I recently acquired a homemade 28' bumper pull trailer that was made from an old RV. It has triple axles don't know the weight rating, it pulls awesome! My question is I want it to haul my fullsize 4x4 and 4 wheelers on it, will the frame of an RV support that kind of weight? I plan or redoing the entire deck and eventually making it into a goose with a dovetail and ramps but I really don't want to waste my time if it won't support the load. Thanks for your answers/ critisim in advance...LOL

Do you know what year of RV or what type etc., maybe you could find out the weight limits of what it used to be?

Sometimes there is a tag rapped around one or all of the axles giving the rating. I'd be surprised if the axles where anything less than 3.5k each on the rating which will yield around 9k for capacity (subtracting 1.5k for trailer weight). How many if any of the axles have brakes? What size are the brakes? How many lugs? If your real lucky the axles will be rated at 5.2k each.waytogo
