ProComp 130 watt lights mounted direct on the bumper. Just enough room to get them aimed and open/close the hood.

I don't like the look of external lights at all, I went with some Zenon Hyper White bulbs.

No comparison for light output Robbie. But as they say, to each their own.
You're an interesting guy. That's all I'll say.

No contest that those big round lights are bright, but I think they look gaudy. I bought a sport front end for a reason..... I want the front end to look nice.
Besides, the stock lighting is good anyway. quad bulbs in the lamps with bumper mounted fog lamps. They have been plenty bright on the street for me and I don't offroad my diesel pickup.
Oh, and it's Bobby.

I've got 4 KC 165W (300,000cp) Daylighters I had on my old '79.... i'm planning on putting 2 onto the '05 and 2 on the '81.
2 of those suckers would light up a mile of road, 4 was overkill, so 2 on each will be great.

why do people always think of off road and tons of bright lights. when we do night runs out in severely tight, rocky and ravine areas that people have trouble navagating in the daytime we run with no lights, parking lights, or in my case a single maglight(trail run leader, and parking light shorted out in earlier rollover during the day.)

I think it's probably because people are more used to seeing desert trucks rather than trail trucks. Tons of off road lights don't do any good if they're pointing straight up in the air. Glare off a bright light reflecting off a rock is just as bad as having somebody shine their brights in your eyes.
Mine are all set up for flat out night running/towing down farm to market roads. If the moon is out, most of the time you don't need them, but if it's cloudy or just plain dark you can never tell what might be standing out in the middle of the road. And I guarantee there is no sicker feeling in the world than when you're hauling 10k at 60mph down a narrow two lane ashpalt road and you miss the warning sign showing that it's gonna turn to dirt.
Either way, there's a time and a place for all of them. Everyone's eyes use light differently and there is no set or preferred methods for accessory lighting.

It would have been nice to have a little extra light last night when I was driving on the 15 between Mesquite, NV and Vegas... it gets DARK out there at 3 in the morning haha.

Sure glad I had my Cibie light on while heading to Ennis, Mt. last fall. Lots of deer standing in the roadway. Not sure if it was the lights or the loud sound of the Cummins, The deer were just  http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b191/Ramn4evr/campercampground.jpg
