I am confused of how they meaure a trailer. I ordered a 18' trailer with a 2' dovetail.
Does that mean its 16' of flat deck then the 2' of dovetail or is that 18' of flat deck and a added 2' of dovetail making it 20' total?

I think it depends on the maker. You should be able to get an overall lengtth from the manufacturer. I know usually the trailer length is the measurement of the flat deck. For instance my trailer is 18' overall length but it has a 2' dovetail so it would be considered a 16' trailer.

x2.... mine's 18+2... 20'. but if ya measure it all the way it's 24.5'...

either way, it's too long.

Why not call the people that you ordered it from and ask them?

he he, i know what you mean. my house in yuma was a 4 bedroom 2 car garage and was 50 feet long in the back side. if i still had it i could have parked the truck and trailer behind the house and taken up the entire back yard....
