I have a Dodge 2500 4x4 and want to put a larger tire on it. What is the largest tire that will fit without scrubbing in the turns.

I think about 305 or so, without a leveling kit. With a leveling kit you can go 315's IIRC.

my room mate has 305s on his 99 2500 and they clear fine stock. He has a pretty close to stock backspaced wheel. I have 315s on mine with 5" lift but I have 16x10 wheels with a little less backspacing. I have seen many stock wheeled trucks with a leveling kit clear 315s fine

i ran 315-70-17's on stick rims on my 04.5 2wd 3500. it rubbed ONLY at full lock and HARDbumps at half turn. 4x4's sit taller. a leveling kit would help as well.

thanks for the response . I have priced some leveling kits, and think that is the way I will go. I like how the big tires fill in those fenderwells.

I have 315/70/17 BFG's on mine without a leveling kit. I have yet to have the tires rub. I do however have a levelinig kit, I just haven't installed it yet. I actually won it here at TRC from Dunks Performancewaytogo
