LOVE this truck the power is unbelievable compared to the 6.0 gas I had. I took the ford and dodge for test drives and I have to say the Duramax feels soo much better then the others!!

Nice color choice there my last truck was simular to that. I didn't want to go black again, I had a grand am that was black, but it looked sooo nice sitting on the lot:cool:

new question where should my oil pressure be at on this? at Idle it seems low., about half way between the redline and the 60 mark. Is that right?

New Pics of the DMAX!!! Cognito leveling kit with 305/55 20 Nitto terragraplers on Ice 889 wheels, MBRP 4" Cat back exhaust, Diablo Predator set on 85 hp, and got my winders tinted!

BTW ran a 15.3 in the 1/4 with those rims and tires on it LOL

Man, I like those wheels and tires, what back spacing are they? Also, are the 305's close to 35" tall?
armoks
01-18-2007, 06:20 PM
I'm not sure on the offset but they are a 9" wide rim and with the cognito level and torsions cranked they did rub on th back of the fender. I had to take the inner fender out and modify the fender itself so they wouldn't rub any.
The 305/55 20 is equal to a 33.2 x 12.5 tire
I was going to do a 4-6" cognito lift and put a set of tires that equal a 35 on these 20's BUT the tires would be around $460 a TIRE!!!!:doah: I just can't afford them:mad:

If you don't mind me asking how much do the 305's run?

I paid $260 a tire for them

Did the 20's affect the ride quality at all?
armoks

not at all I didn't feel a difference. some say the cranking of my torsions would give it a harsher ride too but with the Cognito Kit and Procomp shocks it rides better then stock. So it might be the kit that made up for any ride difference.

I took a ride in the Dodge and the Ford. not bad trucks but I like the quietness of the Dmax and the power of it.
OH I am a Chevy guy so I was biased:stir: also I like the feel and options the chevy's offer in thier trucks.

I like it. I am glad my 3500 didn't have those. Now I need to decide if I take off the 3500 and/or Duramax emblems. My 5" pipe is a pretty good giveaway that it isn't a gas engine.:D

That looks great, I would remove the "4x4" sticker on the bed though.

Very nice looking truck! I'd get rid of the 4x4 decals on the bed and also the 2500HD badges on the doors. Leave the Duramax badges on, though. Personally, I like the looks of the '06-'07 Duramax badges.
