Which do/would you prefer to have? I went with an inline due to the fact I would like to change turbo's some day.

I have mine right at the turbo as most Dodges do but I too am going with a different turbo(s) so the inline or remote is in my future. I have driven trucks with both and haven't noticed a big difference. IMO.

i have the Jake. i like my warranty, so i went with it. i love it. wont ever buy another rig without one.

i have the Jake. Grant The difference between a Jake brake and an exhaust brake are HUGE. waytogo A Jake Brake sits between the valve cover and head and minipulates the valves. An exhaust brake is simply a butterfly in the exhaust pipe. ;)

Hmm, IIRC, "Jake" is the common form of the manufacturer's name and is usually associated with the high end OTR version which you're describing. Usually just referred to as a "Jake Brake". But they also make a version that is the typical butterfly in the exhaust pipe, and some people also call this a "Jake" because of the manufacturer. At least that is what I think I recall from another similar conversation long ago...

Jake brake=Jacobs MFG. They build all kinds of engine retarders weather its internal or external.
