What are the pros and cons of each type?

Is either one intended to provide any level of anti-theft security? I know nothing will deter the serious thief but is either of these intended as a deterrent against casual thieves?

Is either one intended to be water proof protection for whatever's under it?

In rough figures, about how much does each one cost? <$500? $500-1000? >$1000?

Thx

My neighbor used to have a truck with a fiberglass tonneau cover and it had rubber seals on the bottom to help keep the eliments out, it also had a lock in the middle of it, he also had an aftermarket locking tailgate lever, otherwise the other lock wouldn't do much good of course. :doah:

I put a soft cover over my extended cab a couple years ago and love it. Mainly because if i want to take it off i can pull it off and stick it behind the seat, makes moving things like tires or tall stuff easy. Its also waterproof, the snaps attach to a rail thats bolted down to the top of the bedside and i caint get water in there with my presure washer, by the tailgate its not sealed as good but if your driving the wind takes care of that. Everytime i find myself unsnapping it to carry something im very happy i dont have to drive home to remove a hard top.
