Sure, i totally forgot to add that....
You wouldnt think of most teens getting a bike or motorcycle. I asked my parents for one of these and they freaked:

It is a GSX-R1000, a incredibly fast bike, cost :atleast $15,000

I promised myself i would find the biggest motor in the vehicle i want. In this case, it would be the 5.9L V8 in the Dodge Ram 1500 Second Generation. No V6's. My mom has a straight six in her Jeep Grand Cherokee and it kills me driving that thing knowing theres a little straight 6 under the hood. I love driving my dads Jeep though, 4.7L V8, way better acceleration than the six banger. :D

Here was my first vehicle. This was about a year after I had bought it, it was stock as a rock with steel wheels and all. In this pic it's got a 6" lift, 33's, and a billet grille. Year later it went taller, wider, and got a completely new/different drivetrain. I never got rid of it, still have it.

My first was a "78 F-250 4x4 351c, got it at 14, spent 2 years fixing it up, drove it once and broke down. Sold it a few months later. Then was a '89 Crown Vic. Police Special, got into too much trouble with that (120+ wasn't good for a 16y/o), then '86 F-150 I6, awesome truck, then gave to my sis, and drove her old Volvo station wagon for a month until I found my '88 burb, drove for 4 years and bought a '99 2500 Burb for a year, then got my Brandy New '05 2500HD last December. Also have a '94 Shadow, '00 Neon, and '96 Cherokee for the trails. Had a '87 Wrangler for the trails before that. Also had a '91 F-250 4x4 for plowing, Home Depot runs for a year or so in there somewhere. I'm sure i am forgetting a ride or two, but those are the ones that counted the most.

1969 Dodge Dart, 340, hemi 4 speed, 3.91 posi, bench seat, holley 650 double pumper, edelbrock aluminum high rise. The ultimate sleeper. That was followed by a 1975 Dodge 1/2 ton Power Wagon Sno-Fiter package that I bought used and it paid for itself 3 times over plowing snow.

Well, I said my dads jeep hauls a$$, well not as much as his new truck. He got a 2007 Yukon Denali Fully loaded. I told him that $60,000 would buy him one hell of a diesel but he refused. The Denali has 380HP and both my parents cannot stay out of the gas! We went to Target and my mom was drag racing the people next to us at every stop light! Im waitin for the snow to melt still and they said once the streets are dry, i can give the Denali a try!waytogo

My first vehicle was a 1986 S-10 Baja Edition without the paint package. 2.8 v-6 4WD. That was never put into my name though kept it in the dads name for insurance. The first in my name was a 1968 pontiac bonneville convertable. I bought it for a project vehicle in autobody class. Did alot of work to it until I found the frame was cracked/rusted beyond repair. Great experience though.

I asked my dad if I could get this one 1970 Chevy Nova SS with a 350 that i found in Florida, and get it under his name for insurance reasons. I found out that the insurance for me (and im not kidding u) would cost $250 - $400 A MONTH. Crazy! He wouldnt let me though and that Nova has sold anyway. Im still a muscle car fan though! waytogo

'53 Chrysler Imperial, not a gift, had to buy it! 331 Hemi with a two barrel, 2 spd auto trans, weighed about 6000 lbs., what a beast! If you kept your foot on the go pedal and didn't let up it would shift from low to high at about 85 mph (half a mile down the road). Couldn't hurt the beast though; left a brick on the throttle one day to hold it wide open, finally took the brick off after about five minutes with no harm done. The two barrel wouldn't flow enough to let the engine over rev'!!

300 dollar beater 1969 Chevelle Sedan 300 Deluxe , a post car . Someone swapped in a truck 292 . Had manual everything , a 3 speed Saginaw , and a swapped in 12 bolt . Total beater body , no interior . Rear end Damaged from a previous accident .

It did have a nice 2 spoke Grant wheel , and a Hurst shifter LOL .

Wrecked it on the way to my lowly autp parts delivery job . Locked up the 4 wheel drums in the rain while downshifting at the same time . Right through a stop light inot a 1988 Honda Accord . This was before Christmas in 1991 , I was 17 for another 3 months . Boy was Dad pissed , his insurance :doah:

I ended up with my dad's 71 F100. I really wish I had that truck back. The first car I ever bought was a 68 Mercury Comet. It had a 200 I6 with a column shift 3 speed. Moved the shifter to the floor and that was a fun car.

The list goes on.

81 Toyota Corolla wagon

88 Mitsubishi Truck

63 Galaxie 500. Still got this one in the garage.

91 Daihatsu Rocky

83 Mustang GT Convertible.

89 Subaru Wagon 4wd. This one actually had a high/ low transfer case. Pretty neat.

85 Bronco. Bought it for $3200 drove it as a beach toy, trailer hauler for 7 years and sold it for $3000.

94 Corolla Sedan. Current work beater car.

Is it all original or did you restore it? Or hot rod it???

billygoatyj
03-15-2007, 08:03 AM
It's all original. The previous owner patched rust on the bottom of the cab with fiberglass. I've replaced all of that with real metal. The only other thing I've done is maintenance, stuff like old wiring, bearings, leaky rear end.

The only thing it needs is to paint it, replace the wood in the bed, and fix the transmission (it likes to pop out of third gear). I want to keep this one original and take it to shows. I also want to get another one and hot rod it. I know where and 58 or 59 apache is sitting in a barn, but I've already tried to get them to sell it and I've got plenty of projects for now.

I got it when I was 15 and it was my daily driver until I got my jeep the Dec. before I graduated high school. I put quite a few miles on the old truck back then.

the toughest truck i ever had was a mercedes 300D that poor car was treated beyond rough and if it had not been for a slick road and collegent stupidity:doah: it would still be around getting 25mpg and smoking like a frieght train

(for those of you who didn't know it was a diesel; 5 cyl. turbo making +- 90 horsepower at the flywheel):D

:pimp: :pimp: it was a horse shoeing rig that doubled as an 8 keg hauler that also had a trunk that doubled as a cooler when the spare tire was left at home and the well was filled with ice and beer.:pimp: :pimp:

I would love to have that '71 Demon right now. Those little cars didn't weight squat and the 340 was a serious runner stock. With a little massaging, the 340 will make anyone's small-block and many big-blocks very nervous.:pimp:

If I had both of those dodges, I could sell them and take the rest of the year off! The Demon would whip up on 396 chevelles and 383 chargers that my buds had. It put a spanking on a 327 vette that had headers. Boy, was that fella upset. Guess he had never run into a 340 before!!!

I bought my Grandfather 85' Chevy K1500 from him when I was 16. It was his from new and you know how old people do there cars. It was mint. Until I got it. Me and a buddy put some old dump truck leaf springs for a lift kit and an old set if 38.5 Super Swampers. It would go through anything and over anything. We even layed it on its side in a bean field one night. Only thing it broke was the window and the mirror. I wish I never sold it.

1967 Chevy Pickup, LWB, 350, 3 on the tree, green, brown primer and a little rust, small back glass option. As a matter of fact, we still have it. My grand dad bought it new in 68 with a straight 6, and he drove it, my dad, uncle, and aunts learned to drive with it. Me and my brother learned to drive with it, too. The straight six went out, and my dad dropped a 350 into it. waytogo
