Buddy has the above truck and the manual trans. is leaking where the 4wd adapter mounts to the back of the trans. Does anyone know if you can remove the transfer case, support the trans. and pull the 4wd adapter from the trans. with it still in the truck and not risk losing gears or pieces in the process.

there is only an output and input shaft no other parts. There should be a gasket between the two. You might want to check the vents on the transmission and transfer case if the bolts did not loosen up. good luck:cool:
