I know! I know!
Bio diesel is refined vegetable oil that can be run in any diesel straight from the standard tank. It has excellent lubricity (better than sulfur).
Note: Bio diesel is often confused with straight vegetable oil (SVO), but they are not the same. True bio diesel is refined vegetable oil (has most of the water removed through a simple process).

The Bio diesel that I have tried I was happy with but not happy enough to pay .30/gal more for it.
It will help to quiet most trucks down and the lubricity is what makes it very attractive.
I don't know if the truck manu. are wanting bio diesel over B5 or 10 used in the vehicles.

Biodiesel can be made from soybeans also, that is what we have here and we use it on the farm. I believe it is a 10 percent mix with diesel, but there are different receipes. Because of location it and ethynol are cheaper at the pump than regular. It's good stuff waytogo

I'm over halfway done with writing an 8-page research paper on biodiesel (which is due in 10 hours :doah: ). Maybe I could paste a link to the paper when I'm done. The positives outweigh the negatives (mainly cost) by an enormous longshot. I won't write any more about it right now though since I need to focus on this damn paper.

Paper is done, I'll post it when I get it back from the teacher and make a few changes.

Haha, I got an A+ on it, is that OK? Keep in mind that it was for school, so I didn't pour my heart and soul into it or anything, but I did do a fair amount of research.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm interested in reading your paper, and the link is no longer working, could you update it? Thanks. waytogo
