We plan on puting on a stainless steel exhaust, pyro, tranny, and diff. temp gauges plus a programmer. what do you recommend

well, i like MBRP's cool duals. as far as the gauges go, you can get a controller that has those on the display

I was thinking of getting the hyperpac just for the guage display

its basically the same, hyperpac screen is too big for me. they do about the same thing

If you haven't already opened up the intake...do that along with the exhaust. Your truck should respond very well to just those things. Then get the gauges before any chip or tuner goes in the truck. You'd be surprised just how high the EGT's can get with a mild tune.

MBRP exhaust rocks, just installed a 96 PS this week. Stainles is overkill in my book, but to each their own.

DP Tuner, Diesel Inovations, Elite Diesel, and Tony Wildman are the most recommended Chips on an other 7.3 site.

HyperTech my brother loves his and as gay as it sounds get a cia to go with the exhaust with a good flowing aftermarket filter I recomend K&N for the intake itself you can get a ebay unit and mount the filter onto it saving major money exhaust I recomend Banks or Borla and guages either Faze or Autometer .

thanks guy for the responces, have a k&n filter in it, going to put stainless steel exhaust from turbo back, will get gauges, only thing i am wooried about is the tranny, we have a 36' fifth wheel camper and was woundering about a deeper pan than stock and also the rear diff

I've installed the full banks power pak and exhaust brake and wouldn't change for the world. The banks brake is by far my best mod.

With the tranny...if you are concerned about it while pulling the camper, I would look into a better valve body. Factory Tech makes a great one, as does BTS. You will need custom programming (DP Tuner, etc) to take full advantage of it, versus just having off the shelf programs like with an SCT, Bullydog, etc.

Getting a bigger tranny cooler will do wonders as well. As for that K&N...if its the flat panel...junk it. They are notorius for letting in dirt and dust. Google Tymar intakes...or DIY Tymar. Much better filtration and cheaper to boot.

My buddy has a 02 f350 cc 7.3l with a 6inch lift,afe stage 2 intake kit,5 inch exhaust and a edge evolution. He just had a trans cooler from a 6.0l powerstroke installed by recommendation from a ford service mech. He said his temp barely gets above 100*. Downfall is its expensive, approx $500. It is about 500% bigger than stock. I can say if you are mildly mechanicaly inclined you could do it yourself and save a little dough.

Do a search for the Tru-Cool Max tranny cooler. It is the 6 oh cooler...just without the Ford badge, and without the Ford sticker shock.

Have you had any problems with your alternator because of plowing?

I purchased a edge juice with attitude, magnaflow 4" turbo back stainless steel, bullydog shift inhancer. hope these work.
