I'm not sure why no one has really replied to this post, but over on TDR (maybe even DTR) there's at least one guy I know of that has driven one with the auto. He goes by Luke S. He's a dealer and if I remember his post right, he said the truck (the 350hp motor) will smoke the tires in the first four gears.

I don't remember where I saw it, but someone posted that he was seein' the same fuel mileage as the 5.9.

I will be looking at getting a 6.7 4x with training wheels next year.

zippy has driven one... look in general towrig discussion

he drove one w/ a manual trans so i haven't heard anything about the new auto. he said the power was good, the stock exhaust brake was sweet and it sounded quieter and deeper than the previous gen.

Drive one, I bought one, I love it. With the VGT there is so much low end power.

Thinking about getting rid of my 96 Chevy. I drove the 6.7 in an 07 2500, loved the power, not sure about the transmission though, It had the 6 sp auto , but I would rather have the manual. dealer can't find one though. :D

i'm new to diesels and i am considering getting a new 6.7 with 6 speed auto, would really appreciate some feedback as far as fuel economy goes with the 6.7. I read a test in a magazine and they only got 12 or 13, but that vehicle was a cab and chasis not yet broke in. :stir:

I'm getting 14.5 to 14.7 litres/100km which I think is about 15 or 16 mpg. The truck's definitely not broke in yet only 2100km. That's about 20% better than my 92 Ford (7.3 IDI). Love the truck. The power is awesome.waytogo

man the gears must me around the 3.00 because with my 6th gear allison (3.42) final I am around 2k @ 73

as for smoking them thru 4th I do not think so. my 350/650 LBZ with the predator on 85 will not smoke them thru 3rd even with my pizza cutters on
