36k on the"General's" that came on my '07 drw 4x4 NEEDING 4 for the rear.
Granted they have been put thru HELLLOOOO! But 36 and they are past the wear bars; that is a little toooooo fast wearing.
Looking for Michelins but I can only find one style of tread in the 17"
and hard to find Load Range E or higher

I should be getting 100k on my tires. That will mean I save some money on tires. Just a little rougher ride. no biggy.

American Force says something about 150,000 - 200,000 miles till the tires are worn out they sell with their big-rig rims. http://www.americanforcewheels.com/tirewear.html

there are several tires in the 17. I have tried them all, from BF Goodrich rugged trails in a load range E to the Michellin ltx MS (best tires)
I have no problem getting 80K out of tires. I haul daily, never rotate and while my rear tires go first, the Michellin is a 100K tire if you rotate them occasionally. The other tires have a softer compound and do not hold up well at hire speeds under a load.

A company called Rickson's sells 19.5" tire and wheel combos for these 8-lug trucks. No 10-bolt adaptors necessary. 19.5 tires are F and G rated (12 and 14 ply IIRC) and will last quite a bit longer than LT D or E rated tires.

I just saw a pic of the DURA GRAPPLER today. If they can last for at least 80,000mi then they will be my next tire.

Sorry man! Here ya go, these are the toughest way to go for wheels and tires. 19.5 commercial rims and wheels. Leave the 18" and 20" bling for the 1/2 tons. ;)
