I'm thinking about buying a set of these for my dually Duramax but I am just wondering how are the primary lugs going to hold up since they have to use those adapters. Is anyone using these wheels on a DRW Duramax pulling loads at near maximum GCVWR? If so, how many miles do you have doing this? Even though nothing may have broke at first, I was concerned about prolonged metal fatigue on the primary lugs. Thanks for any advice or input.

Your wheel studs are likely not going to cause a problem, but those huge gaudy wheels and tires are hard on balljoints, steering joints, bearings, and basically the rest of the suspension and drivetrain as they are much heavier. If I was pulling on a consistant basis as heavy as you mention, I wouldn't go with those big heavy truck tires and wheels. If I had to have something bigger, I'd go with 19.5's. A lot lighter, not as tall, and looks better too.

Thanks RJF, I was actually leaning towards the 19.5's. I just found a good deal on 6 aluminum 22.5's so I was curious. But now that I add in the extra cost for the tires and those adapters it actually comes out costing more.

You will also have to lift your truck to make them fit so that adds a couple more Gs to the picture and pretty much takes away all hope of pulling a goose or 5er

19.5's look much better in most cases than the 22.5's.

Pulling a 3 horse LQ trailer with gooseneck behind dodge 4wd dually with 22.5s. No lift kit. No problem.

I pulled w/ 22.5 for 10k miles. They did make my egts higher and gas mileage was pretty bad. But they do look great. Once you have tires cut and balanced they ride nice.

I believe they were 255/70. That's considered a low profile for truckers. They where some brand called Turnpike.

What do you mean by "once you have the tires cut"? Also, Do you have pictures of your rig on the new shoes?
