Check to see if you haven't shook a shock loose, it'll rattle only when you hit a bump:doah: . Likely the bottom bolt & nut.;)

Did a wheel bearing (it was loose),(rightside) Ball joints (left) end links both. Noise is still there. I'm thinking maybe Spindel bearing ????????

I may have found the problem, Atleast I did'nt hear it today. I was doing some more lookin around and found that when the previous owner put the 4" straight pipe on it was never bent to avoid the tranny crossmember. So with some heat and prybar I made some room in the pipe for the crossmember. It looked like that pipe rubbing on the crossmember was causeing the 3.5" head pipe to rub on the firewall seam. It now has a little more room to move with the motor. I HOPE !!! thanks for the replys

Tree Killer, with trial and error as most of us, you're becoming the imfamous diesel guy! These forums really help all of us w/ suggestions and experiences, but not one of us can put his butt down on your driveway and look underneath!! Great job, i'll mark this one in my little book of possibles!!!!

The down pipe rubbing will do it. It happened to me with my 4' down pipe. Not much room for error.
