Anyone have any experience with a Duramax backed by a six speed? Ive heard theres a lot of shifting as compared to a Cummins. The truck is an 03 regular cab 2500 4x4. It looks clean, but I know very little about these trucks as ive mostly been looking at cummins trucks...:stir:

I know a guy who has a Dmax/6spd manual. He doesnt seem to have any problems with it. I cant imagine shifting a whole lot more than a cummins. Same size pickup I would guess that the ratios are pretty close. He pulls goosenecks with farm equipment all over and thats night a light load. Im sure you would be happy with it.

The clutches are weak , but the tranny itself is very good, I would like to have one, A friend of mone has one and he loves the six speed.
