Looking at 12V's again, found a clean 97 with an auto (47re, right?), if I want to turn the power up a bit, what aftermarket trans should I be looking at? Is one manufacturer better than the other?
What kind of power is the stock transmission (assuming it's in good shape) capable of handling? How about with an aftermarket TC and VB?
What kind of coin is an aftermarket trans (with TC) going to run?
At first, I'd just be doing some mild mods, but down the road I'd like to get a bit more out of it, but nothing outrageous, probably 800 ft-lb or so tq. Economy is definately a priority.
A good cooler and temp gauge will definately be installed first thing.
