Do any of you guys have a mini (36 - 46") sleeper behind your cab? How do you like it or not?

I had a 52" on a Ford. I thought about putting another on my previous truck and looked at 36" and 42", but the way I look at it is if you are going to spend 7-8k why not another $1500 or so and get a larger sleeper and give yourself some more room.

Double Eagle has a 42" for around $4500 installed. Its only a few inches taller than the cab. How did you like it? Is it a pain to get into and out? Was it really worth it?

Is that the price on there website?? I have stopped in there a couple times (looked at 42, 48, and 60), and by time the frame is stretched and you are all done it was like 7k for a 42. A basic 60 was 10k. A couple drivers in our yard went double eagle and one just did his Dodge with a 60 with a raised roof (8" or so) and bytime he was done he spent 17k:eek: . Myself I really do not like the look you end up with, the do not fit the lines of the truck. If I where to do another one I would do one like this (http://www.roadmastertruck.com/).

Why use the old tube TV when you can simply slap a flat screen on the wall and save space?

Nice pics, The prices on their site said installation included, but I bet it don't include stretching the frame. I had planned on a 2001 chevy C3500HD cab and chassis - with about 12' of frame behind cab so adding wouldn't be a concern ( shortening, maybe). I was going to make my own flat-bed, but I might go with a C6500 C & C instead.

Well, as of June 07 at the double eagle site:
32L X 56H X 80W total estimated price.........3802.00
36L X 58H X 80W total estimated price.........3867.00
42L X 64H X 84W total estimated price.........4637.50
58L X 90H X 84W total estimated price.......13,500.00
The last one had all the bells and wistles, ie fold up upper bunk, sofa bed, lavatory w. cold running water... basically the whole nine yards. And you pay for that luxury too.

The prices are somewhat misleading, they do not include frame work and other needed stuff like that.

Good-looking sleeper. Looks like they take out the back seat?
