i am picking up a 1987 gmc crew cab dually, with a 454 and a 4 speed,runs good,some surface rust bad brake line in rear,head liner is falling down,could use rockers,where would i pick these up? but anyways seems to be a good deal at 600.00 i think.waytogo

There are a couple of us here with that vintage rig. I am currently doing a "resto-mod" project on one.

Rockers you can order from LMC or other sites. I forgot where I got mine, but we just put new rockers, floors in mine. Pics in the "tow rigs are built not bought" thread.

Cool looking project truck.

I really think with the cost of new trucks, cool "resto-mod" tow rigs are going to be a neat niche.

I actually like my old body style truck more than the new ones. (plus I love to mod everything I own). Fairly easy to add modern amenities to an older truck. Less money than a new one but really cool.
