Are most of you guys running 8" wide aftermarket wheels in the 17-18" range How much trouble is it to find tires for 18" wheels compared to 17's. I am looking at 285's.

I'm running 18 x 8.5.
BFG, Toyo & Nitto all make tires in a 285/?? - 18.
I believe all those are E rated too.waytogo
Whether or not they make an 18 x 8 wheel for the newer gen trucks, I don't know. Someone else will be better suited to answer that question.

I'd go with 17's. Should have a better selection of tires and is a more sensible size, 18's and bigger look guady on most vehicles.

When I stated looking for replacement tires for 17's you actually have about as many if not more selection with 18" rims since they are standard and alot of trucks now and alot of aftermarket rims in that size.
