It comes up all the time everywhere, and we all need them regulary, and it's hard to find goog info for us guys running heavy rigs. A guy recommending a tire he runs on his lightweight Jeep doesn't mean squat to a towrig driver.

I'll second the Tire Forum. As the TowRig gets more powerful and towing weight becomes more and more exceeded rotfl it has become apparent that the tire manufactures are not keeping up with enough load E or higher ratings. We need more info with tire choices that others may have even if it's for trailer tire ratings.

So...bump. What's the E rated tire market looking like these days? I just got some 285 Michelin AT IIs on the shop F250 crewcab 4x4. So far, so good. Need wider wheels than the stock 7"? ones, though, handling is sloppier than with the 265s.

X2, I have been looking for good information on some E-rated tires for a while now with little or no luck. A tire forum would solve this problem.

Eh, I dunno if a forum is necessary. Maybe just a post. :D

I'll stop by when I have time and post up the options I know of. Regular size E tires aren't hard to get, it used to be hard to get larger ones, not so much anymore.

I'm looking for 285/75R16 or 17 I.m undecided on going to a 17" rim for better stability. Any opinions?

Mine made the handling kinda sloppy on the skinny factory steelies. Wider and larger diameter wheels would definitely help. I think BFG makes a 295 in an E All Terrain.
