Anyone have a Liberty with the new Diesel motor?

I read a review on it in the latest Offroad Adventures. Seems like a decent little power plant but I wasn't overly impressed with the mileage. It was like 18/26 or something. Thats not much better than a fullsize 7K 1 ton Ram that's laying down 600ft lbs. :doah:

I think they would make a good ride but not tow rig material to short a wheel base on em kinda like my old Bronco.

Is this with a diesel? I am considering the Liberty diesel for a daily driver sometime in the near future.

Yes this is a diesel Liberty we got it used with about 10k miles on it the owners could not make the payments, at first it was as bad as the Ford Explorer for mileage but now much better around 29-31mpg on hwy. in town it gets around 23-25mpg. Love the little thing but would not tow anything with it.
