How long does it take for your thermo to register the temp? Some times it takes nearly 10 minutes for it to change from the previous temp that the truck was shut off at to what the current temp is. Is this normal? Seems I don't remember it doing this before. Maybe the sensor is getting bad?

On 3rd Gen's its somewhere under the hood.

My 01 takes a few minutes to re-register the 'correct' temp. Dunno if they all do it (older ones) but no biggie to me.

my 04.5 has a little black plastic nipple near one of the headlights... behind it.. drivers side i think... ill go check tomorrow...
