How about a quad pod?

I see there is a quad pod for the Ford. Does anyone know of one for ANY of the Dodges?

I've been looking at guages, because my dad is getting two ultra lights on the pillar installed, and I wouldn't mind having 4 on the pillar if possible.

Anyone have a quad pod, or know of one available?

Here it is for the Ford, I think it looks cool.

I have not seen where you can buy one, but I think I read about someone making one over on diesel truck rescource. IMO the top one would be hard to read. I've got three on my a-pillar and after having driven it for awhile I think I would like them across the top of the dash, but it would be hard to hide all the stuff that goes to them.

Fords A-pilliar is siginificantly larger than the GM or the dodge, so they have room to make a 4-pod pilliar. I really dont think you would be able to squeeze 4 on a 2nd gen dodge, a third you might but even that would be tight. What do you need 4 gauges on the pilliar for anyway?

You can get a 3 pod pillar all day. I want Pyro, trans temp, fuel pressure, and boost. I guess I don't really need boost though.

I was talking 3rd generation, not number of gauges. I know you can get 3 gauge pods for just about anything. Why not mount fuel pressure somewhere else, as thats not nescisarily something you need to watch as much as EGT, trans and boost.

Then I would have to buy a column mounted pod also, and I don't know if I want the look of guages over here...guages over there....in the cab. I'll just leave out boost and call it good with the triple on the pillar.

Do you really think that fuel pressure is more important than boost? I know the VP44 trucks have issues with the lift pumps killing the IP's, but do you need an in cab gauge to monitor it?

I don't have a gauge on my fuel but I put a low pres. warning light on it5 if the pres. drops below 5 psi it lights up. Already saved me once so it works for me. I just drilled the hole for the light on the black trim on the instrument panel bezel.

Yes I do think fuel pressure is more important than boost in these vintage trucks. I could go with a warning light but I'd prefer a guage. With the amount of power I plan on making, I don't think I need to worry about monitoring boost much. If the turbo is whistling dixie I'm not worried.

I agree with you that boost is not all that important to look at from the point that when you blow a boot and loose all of it you will know it. But, watching boost along with your others is important. If the boost is fluttering, acting irregular, not reaching lbs. like it should, etc. it is giving you a heads up of problem. The fuel gage monitoring your pressure will not be something you need to look at all the time. Watching your fuel pressure is an every once in a while thing, not a steady monitor. I have a digital gage mounted down by my trailer break that has a high and low button. I can see it while driving and as long as it stays between 13 and 15 I only glance at it every once in a while. I've only lost one lift pump in 104k. When it went it started acting erratic it dipped below what was baselined at 12 -13 lbs. Since I carry a spare when I got to my house, I replaced it and ordered another spare to carry. Please don't think this is flaming you, just trying to give you some more information to make your decision. Also, I can say that looking around the 3 pod piller is hard at times as it creats a blind spot. I think the 4 pod would be even worst. Just my $0.02 worth.
