I have all of my written tests done and went to take the driving test for the Class A CDL. They say my trailer does not qualify for a Class A. Because it has a rating of 9800 lbs. I need a trailer of 10, 001 lbs or more to test. So if I'm going to use this trailer that's is rated at 9800 lbs and a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 DRW 4wd pickup rated at 7864 lbs. Do I still need a Class A license. I live in Texas. I'm just a little confused. Any help would be great and that you very much.

Don't know about the testing procedure, just thinking out loud here, could you just rent a trailer of 10, 001 lbs or more to test?
