      <content:encoded><![CDATA[New member here.  I just traded my 89 F250 gasser for an 89 F350 w/ a 7.3 diesel.  My first diesel.  I took it out today with my toy hauler and was totally disappointed with the power.  The truck has 188,000 miles on it.  What should I look for to try to get the power output up to at least to what my old gasser had?  Also the motor has a knock that sounds like it is coming from the bottom end, is that common?  I have read the threads on the forum and if I need to install a turbo, which one...<br />

been having problems with water in fuel and sometimes air in the line... this time its got good fuel and no air in system.... it started up and as i headed down the street it just died... like you turned off the ignition... it wont start, even with starting fluid, and the glowplugs now wont come on at all... <br />
 <br />
any ideas...? I checked the fuses and the only ones bad are for the trailer charging .... what controls the glowplugs...?  I replaced them last...<br />

Talked to the guy that is selling it and he says that the engine was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago and the auto (E40D) transmission was done about 6 months ago it is 4x4 extended cab long box body is rough but seems to run good he wants $5500 do you think that its worth it?  Remember it will be a 16 year olds truck he will have to use it on the farm but he will also use it for school and other...<br />

How is it done and can it be done to a 88 7.3 idi pump and what type of pump is it I cant figure it out, is it a stanadyne.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[A friend of mine has a 92 7.3 non turbo 5spd. truck. Besides doing a turbo kit what are some good things to do go get some more performance out of this truck. Iv herd of adjusting the injection pump but cant find anything that says how to adjust it, iv also herd it can gernade the crank if done incorectly. Im sure that exhaust and intake are also good mods, but cant find kits for either. <br />
Are there any vendors that deal specificly with these older diesels. Or vendors that carry exhaust and...<br />

I recently hitched my trailer up to my 02 F350 7.3 4X4 at midnight to start a 4 hour drive out of town only to find that the running lights would not come on on the trailer but they were working properly on the truck, the brake light and the reverse also worked on the trailer.<br />
I opened the distrubution box and found the wire for the running lights and connected it directly to the batt on the trailer and they worked, I also looked under the dash to see if I could find a blown...<br />

It has 145,000 on it and has service records back to 25k miles with the oil being changed every 3,000 miles. What are some things I need to know about this truck/engie? I&#039;ve seen posts about &quot;SCA&#039;s&quot; but would like to know more. The radiator and water pump were recently replaced so how do I know if I need any additives? Also, there is an issue with the truck, while driving down the road between 2500-3000rpms the truck seems to...<br />
