So what was everyones first car.....just curious what you guys got when you were 16. Please vote and comment on what you had....imp:
When I turned 16 I took my test in my dads 1988 half ton Chevy, which I still have, then mom got a new car so I got hers a 1984 Z-28. The next year I got an S-10. From there I started a long chain of buying, selling and trading. Ive been throug 3 Z-28s, 2 S-10s, a Z-34, a Z-24, a Z-71, a malibu, a century, a CJ, a YJ, a TJ (lookin for another now), an aclaim, a shadow, a tempo, a skyhawk, a ZR2 blazer, a cavilier, a sunfire, and now i have my 06 Dodge Dually CTD, first new truck I ever bought.
My mom got a Yellow Skyhawk waytogo And my dad got a Red Pontiac Firebird with a carb. He wrecked it three times..... Im hopin to get a truck. 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 in BLACK
Sure, i totally forgot to add that.... You wouldnt think of most teens getting a bike or motorcycle. I asked my parents for one of these and they freaked: It is a GSX-R1000, a incredibly fast bike, cost :atleast $15,000
I promised myself i would find the biggest motor in the vehicle i want. In this case, it would be the 5.9L V8 in the Dodge Ram 1500 Second Generation. No V6's. My mom has a straight six in her Jeep Grand Cherokee and it kills me driving that thing knowing theres a little straight 6 under the hood. I love driving my dads Jeep though, 4.7L V8, way better acceleration than the six banger.
I had a 1990 GMC Suburban that my parents had bought new 13 years earlier. it was white half ton, 350/700R4 10 bolt 2wd.
My first car was a 74 Chevy Vega...burned a quart of oil just about everyday or leaked it out hahahaa :doah: Then 76Merc. Capri (dad help me drop in a rebuilt v6, second gear burnouts were fun in that car, side stepin the clutch rotfl ) Then 72 K5 Blazerwaytogo then 05 Duramaximp: Next....???
Dont knock the 4.0 it can be a real sleeper I ran 150 is my wifes Cherokee and she got clocked at 136 by the police all bone stock it would give sport compacts a real run for there money especially uphill.
Here was my first vehicle. This was about a year after I had bought it, it was stock as a rock with steel wheels and all. In this pic it's got a 6" lift, 33's, and a billet grille. Year later it went taller, wider, and got a completely new/different drivetrain. I never got rid of it, still have it.
My first was a "78 F-250 4x4 351c, got it at 14, spent 2 years fixing it up, drove it once and broke down. Sold it a few months later. Then was a '89 Crown Vic. Police Special, got into too much trouble with that (120+ wasn't good for a 16y/o), then '86 F-150 I6, awesome truck, then gave to my sis, and drove her old Volvo station wagon for a month until I found my '88 burb, drove for 4 years and bought a '99 2500 Burb for a year, then got my Brandy New '05 2500HD last December. Also have a '94 Shadow, '00 Neon, and '96 Cherokee for the trails. Had a '87 Wrangler for the trails before that. Also had a '91 F-250 4x4 for plowing, Home Depot runs for a year or so in there somewhere. I'm sure i am forgetting a ride or two, but those are the ones that counted the most.
My first car was a 74 Chevy Vega. 2 door hatchback with a 4 spd. I got it for my 16th birthday. Later found out it was loaded with rust.... It was fun.
Hey that gives me an idea. LOL JK. Maybe i should race my friend Nick in his VTEC Acura Integra. Its a real ricer alright. But its pretty fast. I still think my dads Jeep could smoke it. waytogo

First car huh? 1969 Dodge Dart, 340, hemi 4 speed, 3.91 posi, bench seat, holley 650 double pumper, edelbrock aluminum high rise. The ultimate sleeper. That was followed by a 1975 Dodge 1/2 ton Power Wagon Sno-Fiter package that I bought used and it paid for itself 3 times over plowing snow.
No more Jeep Well, I said my dads jeep hauls a$$, well not as much as his new truck. He got a 2007 Yukon Denali Fully loaded. I told him that $60,000 would buy him one hell of a diesel but he refused. The Denali has 380HP and both my parents cannot stay out of the gas! We went to Target and my mom was drag racing the people next to us at every stop light! Im waitin for the snow to melt still and they said once the streets are dry, i can give the Denali a try!waytogo
