Ok, I've got a few questions for anybody that has stacks...
    1) Do you have any sort-of muffler?
    2) Has anything ever been thrown into your stacks (I.E. bottles, cans, food...)?
    3) What size stacks are you running?
    4) Who made them?

Well, Stacks are a favorite topic of mine!

I use and sell Grand Rock stack kits. Very nice kits, great fit and all inclusive kits. Pricing is very reasonable as well.

I have 5" miters on my truck and am pulling them off for 6 or 7" bull haulers. Most guys want the miters.

Never had anything thrown in but water, which the heat takes care of. An empty water bottle or something like that in a 5" stack should blow right out. My stacks are a hair over 7 feet off the ground, little high for most of the little punks that would do such a thing.

I am not running a muffler, but with twin turbos you really have a totally different sound. Its much louder with a single turbo. You have several muffler options, which include underbody and in stack mounted mufflers.

Feel free to post any additional questions.

I don't even ask that anymore. I seen it all. Nothing like that surprises me anymore. Of course, I have been known to pull a few inocent pranks on buddies of mine before!:stir:

ya i imagine your could just criss cross a cpl pieces of pencil rod in there with a few tacks. it would probly be easier than trying to get some sort of screen to weld up rite

Problem is you screw up the chrome. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I guess expanded metal at the bottom couldn't hurt anything.

we have some almost screen like sheet metal at work, i could just cut a couple of circles and weld them into the pipe that crosses the bed

That would work. Just make sure its not too fine of a mesh or your risk the soot clogging it up a bit.

Sound files are hard because our sound card, settings and speakers really just can't do justice. Here is a video of me racing a 2006 Mustang Cobra. You can get an Idea of the sound from it. Also remember that I have twin turbos and it changes the sound a bunch. You will probably want to run a muffler in yours, mine is straight piped.

Don't worry about power loss. If anything, you shold see an increase. Once the exhaust is out of the turbo you want the least possible restriction. Your truck has 4" exhaust on it from teh factory, so its up to you to leave the cat or remove it and then we can send you the bed kit, which is everything you need to tie into the stock pipe.

    PM on the way!
