My first vehicle was a 1986 S-10 Baja Edition without the paint package. 2.8 v-6 4WD. That was never put into my name though kept it in the dads name for insurance. The first in my name was a 1968 pontiac bonneville convertable. I bought it for a project vehicle in autobody class. Did alot of work to it until I found the frame was cracked/rusted beyond repair. Great experience though.

I asked my dad if I could get this one 1970 Chevy Nova SS with a 350 that i found in Florida, and get it under his name for insurance reasons. I found out that the insurance for me (and im not kidding u) would cost $250 - $400 A MONTH. Crazy! He wouldnt let me though and that Nova has sold anyway. Im still a muscle car fan though! waytogo

1990 dodge ramcharger, truck was in perfect shape. Would have made a great candidate for a 12v or somethin.

Carguy, don't buy a 1000cc anything for a first bike, you will hurt yourself.

I wouldnt buy it anyway. My parents would freak no matter how old i am. Plus they are very expensive! I would start out with something cheaper and less powerful.

my first was a '78 chevy heavy half ton (big 10) w/ 350 4barrel, 4 speed, 2wd. 45,000 original miles. still runs like a top

also an '88 trans am gta. 350 tpi flowmaster cat back, K&N intake, and hypertech chip. still only has 38,000 miles. mint condition.

both aboves vehicles spend their days in a nice garage now, gaining value

'53 Chrysler Imperial, not a gift, had to buy it! 331 Hemi with a two barrel, 2 spd auto trans, weighed about 6000 lbs., what a beast! If you kept your foot on the go pedal and didn't let up it would shift from low to high at about 85 mph (half a mile down the road). Couldn't hurt the beast though; left a brick on the throttle one day to hold it wide open, finally took the brick off after about five minutes with no harm done. The two barrel wouldn't flow enough to let the engine over rev'!!

300 dollar beater 1969 Chevelle Sedan 300 Deluxe , a post car . Someone swapped in a truck 292 . Had manual everything , a 3 speed Saginaw , and a swapped in 12 bolt . Total beater body , no interior . Rear end Damaged from a previous accident .

It did have a nice 2 spoke Grant wheel , and a Hurst shifter LOL .

Wrecked it on the way to my lowly autp parts delivery job . Locked up the 4 wheel drums in the rain while downshifting at the same time . Right through a stop light inot a 1988 Honda Accord . This was before Christmas in 1991 , I was 17 for another 3 months . Boy was Dad pissed , his insurance :doah:

My first was a 1977 dodge power wagon with the 440cid and a carter 850cfm carb, it only took about 3 days to decide that I needed a lift and big tires in the woods though.
