Stack question Deisel Nut, I have a 99 f350 with 400.000 miles on it, I would like to get some stacks or bigger exhausts for it, I'm pulling a 20,000 pound Sea Ray boat now , what would you recommend for my truck, everything is still stock though I have chipped it up from the beginning. What do you think?
I really didnt think that stacks would look good on a single wheel. thats why i never did them, but after seeing yours, my mind is being changed...Mine is also grey....whats the price for 6"?
OH!! you mean they have to be on the truck? darn... lol i am building them up. just need a few more sections. i get them CHEAP. all grand rock stuff from a truck shop here in town. 5 inch curved. 4 inch to the elbow. i wanted to keep a bit of back pressure. the kitty will go away soon so it will be just the aero turbine shorty. Grant
I went to my local freightliner dealership thinking I could be all smart and build my own stack setup.... Jason could get complete kits that were cheaper than building it myself. I was quite suprised. I have raced Jason at our local strip, his smoke started floating into my lane and I was starting to wonder if I could still see the tree if the light didn't hit green soon...:doah: rotfl
So you are saying it was my fault you had to wash your truck afterwards?? Hey, if you run faster you don't eat all the left over diesel ya know!! rotfl Then again, if you suck it in your intake might be better than injectors!
the prices they give me make me wonder wy im not in jail if you know what i am saying.... nobody could beat the price. plus i wanted a few different things done that a kit cant do.
Like what? Just curious. One nice thing about Grand Rock is they listen to their customers and if they want something, and its reasonable, they'll build it. Brainstorm out loud.:stir:
ok not stacks...well horizontal stacks anyway, does anyone make side pipes for teh 3rd gen dodges. ive seen them in diesel power but all i can recall is seeing them on fords. i looked under my truck and it looks as if the frame on the dodge is too low to get em out the side.
I could probably fab a set up for you. Let me look at what I got and see if maybe I can mount a 5" or 6" Curved stack down for a side pipe. Might be a pretty cool project. I love the look.
im not made of money now lol so let me know what ya think it would run me before you start fabin it up, hell i owuld run a straight pipe throught the hood if i knew i wouldnt get hassled from the cops, plus a 5" stack comin up outta the hood would make a heck of a blind spot
