only things thats gay is trying to get the engine cover off of it. gotta pop part of the dash apart, pull the shifter out of the floor, and if its got a air seat and a 60% bench, the bench has to come out!
Even worse, my new project truck is a 99 Super Duty, that's getting a 93-95 DT466. No room to take off the valve cover. But at least it'll look good in there.imp: waytogo I just got the truck, but no engine yet.
i really wish this work truck has more HP, grossing over 100k it was kinda slow today. 10th gear was pretty much useless. of course its not like i wanted to be going that fast anyways. cool info, the boss just bought me a laptop with all the cummins programing and adpators and IH programming and adaptors. just got to talk him into some cat stuff and i am good to go! nothign like being able to electronically cancel cylinders and run all my tests with something other than that useless prolink!
If I'm not mistaken, the name of that truck is "Project 350" He ordered it from Peterbilt with that 350" wheel base, that's not a stretch job. He had to talk them into makin it that long cuz they didn't want to send one out of the factory that long at first. There's videos of him on Youtube tryin to back into a dock. I think it would just be a pain in the @ss to drive every day. Good lookin truck though.
NOPE, that's not Richie's truck at all. That is not "Project 350". I happen to know Richie Acosta very well and we've talked about the truck I posted and how everyone thinks it's his. Send that pic I posted to Brian at 4 States and he will give you the guy's name. I can't remember, but I do remember he had lots of $ in the engine and melted it down a couple times. Steven.
funny you mention osh kosh.......an 8x8 osh kosh came in for a tuneup on the 'ol 8v92 last winter. what a beastly unit. de-commisioned millitary obviously. a local company has a small fleet of these and runs supplies into logging camps in the mountains.
That was funny, him and that guy out in the cold beside their trucks wizzin and OT's door is locked. I bet they was side by side. rotfl
I agree it's been fun reading the stories. OT you'll make some money with that book so I hope you've written it already. If you need a proofreader for the next one I'm available...
