i dont know im really scared.....i pay about that in the suby and a least 3.09 for 85 in my truck it is painful. but may 15th is dont pump gas day i heard. we arent supposed to get gas that day as a strike against fuel costs last time this was done fuel dropped $0.30 a gallon
yeah but how many poor souls don't know or don't care about that day:doah: IF we could get the entire country to not buy, think how much lower we could get it:stir:
Sure, makes a ton of since. Plan on not getting gas that day, then go and fill back up the next day.. If you use 5 gallons a day, but skip a day, you'll just have to get 10 gallons filled back up the following day. They aren't loosing anything.
It just means May 14th and May 16th will be record days for them so it would all even out anyway I would think.
i know thats exactly what i was thinking when someone told me about it... they claim the oil companies will lose like 2 billion dollars or something that day but yet everyones car will be empy so the next day like you said bobby will be a record day.
2.81 for diesel in damascus maryland. 3.15 for diesel in gaithersberg maryland. dunno about gas, i think its 3.01 now.....
$2.69-2.71 here now. 87 octane is $3.09 some places. To the guy who posted here that he's glad he has a gasoline-burning truck; estimates are that diesel would have to rise at least $1/gal over the price of 87octane for it not to be an advantage. My truck gets 23+mpg at 65mph(and the motor is not even broken in yet). The same truck with a Hemi would be lucky to see 15mpg at that speed. And think of towing(no don't think of it).
First off, up till two and a half years ago, diesel was ALWAYS cheaper than gasoline by quite a lot...............so I figure we've been getting screwed the past 2+ years. :stir: Secondly, diesel takes less refinement...............tho I've 'heard' the new processes are pretty close to equal.
