muffler delete? performance losses?

    anyone that put on a muffler delete pipe notice any performance losses?...

    i just installed mine today and im haveing problems noticeing any gains or losses from it...something just feels diffrent...maybe its just in my head tho...so i figured rather than annoy myself ide ask for input here

    I didnt notice anything either, but I bet your EGT's may benefit from it.

    You should see a 50-100* egt drop when loaded and running her hard. Maybe 20* crusing. You should, however, have a little quicker spooling turbo and that will move the power curve slightly toward the bottom end and help it pull harder throughout the rpm range a little. Basically, it will help things, but in small amounts, nothing major.

    yeah from what im noticeing is it changed the rpm band a little bit...before i was running exactly 2k going 60mph in 6th gear now its a line below 2k... next im getting some a trailer break system...then ill be ordering a smarty from you diesel nut ;D

    Shouldn't have affected that. Yo ushould juddt notice a little more power at a lower RPM than you were at prior to the install.

    Lowered my EGT's, better throttle response (I think), sounds GREAT !!!

    Running without a muffler is illegal in Montana ,my guess it's illegal in all states

    I hade a delight pipe on her for about a year but I put an MBRP 4" muffler on when towing it got a little loud on an 24hr trip. the MBRP muffler sounds great and no more tinniy drone.

    Unless you have a turbo charged engine, where the turbo can also function as the muffler.
