Argh. Already left for the day, so that's gonna hafta wait until I get back home this evening. Looking at the wheelbase, it should be about 3" shorter than the K10, IIRC.

That was my reaction as well. Have yet to see one of these trucks.

Me too. I had a few threads to read, and I'm waiting for a shipping quote from Big Dan. He thought he'd have it on Monday. But I don't have a way to get ahold of him at this point, so waiting is what I do.

Woo hoo, Steve got my password reset! Big thanks to Ryan for passing along the message for me.

Loving the new layout. It works so much better on the phone & tablet, one of the hiking forms I am on uses this, too. Give it a few weeks and see.

MI lefts- I still don't get them. If you want that set up why not just use a roundabout? So much simpler.

Drive shafts- my C/10 has a two piece. 2WD, 8' bed, automatic transmission.

I'll try to get an avitar up later, just imagine a green/white airplane sign over there for now.

To give a fair comparison, what points are you measuring from? Center of U-joint cap? End of yoke? End of tube section?

...and I don't own the tow rig listed in my profile anyone either. The funny thing is all three of those trucks went to other CK5ers.

Because that would make them look too much like Wisconsin. And we can't have that...

Since you posted this, I now see an avatar. And it's not a green/white airplane sign. I shall be permanently confused. Wherever shall I go to find an airplane mechanic now? :p

    There goes the neighborhood.

At the risk of adding actual "tech" I will offer the following photos. These are desperate times, and with another 24 hours before CK5 is back online (est.) we gotta do what we gotta do!!!!

Got the extension piece figured out on the PS exhaust. This is the small section that sits OUTSIDE of the framerail and will feed into the muffler...

    Same area, from the underside:

How things change! The driver's side cab support that I so lovingly repaired in around 2009 was unceremoniously chopped out of the truck last night, along with a large structural torsion/floor support.

That same part as viewed from underneath. This will look familiar to the "full vert" K5 guys....

And a final shot of the DS area where a header needs to fit. I dropped in a piece of 1"x1" square tubing to represent the steering shaft which is sure to cause me some additional clearance headaches.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled programming (which is mostly poop and fart jokes). :)
