Hey everyone! I just stumbled on the site.

    I have 2 "rigs"

    1996 Chevrolet Suburban, K1500, 3.73's, 6000# tow capacity

1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, RPO V4P (V4P is the 7000# factory tow package, LT1, 3.42 gears, V08 Cooling, Mechanical Fan, external trans cooler, engine oil cooler, special shielded exhaust system (for high heat), FE2 suspension (firm springs/shocks/fat sway bars), special trailer wiring harnesses, 140amp alternator, tough shifting 4L60E trans, etc. w/o a trailer this thing scoots! Rumors are the V4P Cad will beat the Impala SS and 9C1 cop cars down the 1/4 mile.... I'm game....

Nothing yet, my avatar is about as close as it gets for now. You don't see cars hauling big trailers anymore, most would die at the thought of 800 lbs tonque weight and 7000#'s!! Mine is rated at 840 # tongue weight. And "Not to Exceed 7000#"

It has the 12in front brakes and 11x2 drums in back, with full speed traction control and true 4 channel 4 wheel antilock. I am replacing the rear end in my Suburban so I will have a spare set of 11.5x2.75 brakes that I might install on it for some added braking power.

We hope next year to get a trailer that we can haul for travelling. Not sure the weights of the trailers, and what we could tow. We are thinking about selling the 96 Burb for a 96 454 K2500 Burb, but still thinking....
