I have heard mixed reviews about the Silverstars. I really dont want an "HID wannabe" light.:doah: I think they look lame. I just want a really bright white (not blue) bulb that will not burn out in 1 year.

Any other ideas?? or should I just go with the Silverstars??

I just put the silverstars in a few weeks ago and I have been very pleased with them. I think dodge trucks have the worst headlights of any truck. They put off more of a white light than a blue light.

Walmart has a two pack of super white bulbs for like 18 bucks. I've been happy with them, and the price is right.

I have Zenon hyper white bulbs. They aren't a neccessarely brighter, but are a whitish blue and seem to penetrate the fog a little better.

I did the silverstars here over a year ago and they havn't burnt out yet... they are a long way from the "wannabe HID" lights though. they look like regular bulbs, just brighter and whiter...

Do a search for the Philips Vision Plus bulbs. In several independent tests they've outperformed all the others by a wide margin. Don't be fooled by lights that concentrate the light in the center to appear brighter (COUGH)PIAA(COUGH) but put out less total light, with very little to the sides where you need some vision. The Vision Plus aren't that expensive.
