Towed the Wife's horse today for the first time, damn was he pissed, the whole truck was shaking when ever he was kicking the crap out of the trailer, must have looked funny when I was at a stop light with the truck bouncing up and down and a 1,400 pound pissed off horse in the back. :doah:
You "towed" him what? Maybe you "towed" him "whoa". Just kidding around. We haul cattle weekly too. What don't move with bullwagons we move with custom Barrett 42' goosenecks. These trailers get heavy in a hurry. Lately though we've been hauling with the new M2 Freightliner, of course this living quarters trailer is pretty big too. It's a Featherlite 5 horse slant with 18' short wall.
I know how it is, my wife runs a draft horse rescue and regularly hauls unbroke young drafts that weigh in at around 1800lbs. The best was when she hauled a 2200lb steer for her friend, one steer in a two horse trailer, now that was interesting.
