Need a 5th wheel hitch...

    I need to get a fifth wheel hitch for my truck. '05 Ford F350 longbed dually. I use the bed of the truck to sleep in on occassion, so I need to get one that removes completely, no rails on the inside of the bed. What are my options? I don't want to spend a ton of money since I won't really be using it very much at all, but I also don't want to buy junk.

    Get one of these with the 5th wheel hitch accessory. It is the only one that I know of that completely removes from the bed. This would be the only hitch that i would consider if I needed a 5th wheel.

    I've seen that one, looks pretty good but not sure they make a kit yet for an '05. Valley, Reese and Pullrite all make them too, but I'm into any of them for like $1000 and that's just more than I'm willing to spend on it right now. Looks like I may just say forget the whole thing at this point, I just can't afford it.

    I've got a Reese 30k 5er/goose, but that requires rails. I had figured on just dropping in plywood cutouts between them to put an air matress on top of. Never got around to doing it though...

    If he did that then he would think less of his Ferd..next thing you know he will be buying a Chevy..rotfl :popcorn:
