Not from this forum, somewhere else, but I have a question. What part is this guy most likely to break hauling this load? I'm thinking he's gonna lose some differential parts first ( I think he may have hauled this quite some ways) before much else breaks, and he wanted an info source on why I thought so. Opinions (other than he is about 2700lbs over 7500lb trailer towing limit)? Here's a link to the thread, http://server1.buggiesunlimited.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19462&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
He can keep it on the road for sure, he drove it. opcorn: Anyone else got an opinion, or is this the wrong forum?
I think he's definantly overloaded. I wouldn't be so worried about the differential, as I would the trans. 9,500lbs is way too much for that Durango. Personally, I think Dodge was generous enough with the tow rating from them at 7,500lbs, if thats really it. It's not the power that is the problem, it's that it has 1/2ton suspension that can't keep a load like that stabilized.
I have that t-shirt, hat,and coffee mug. I am also glad that it is him and not me. trans will go first. then the bottom end
lol i towed a heavy equipment trailer with a amc rebel on my 99 dakota with a 3.9l motor. lets say i got rid of it shortly after cause it never rode the same again
I'm thinking u joint/brakes if hes got alot of stops tranny/engine if its a long way without to many stops.
