That's an SBC truck, right? Not mine, but I got to drive a GMC Dump similar to this one a few times this past summer.
Looks like a C-60 that I used to drive, it had a 20 foot box on the rear and yeah it had a 350 small block, thing was a dog.
This truck was a dog too. It had a 350 with a single speed rear end. It couldn't be killed though. We used it to move a lot of dirt around my uncles farm to level out some land. We got done with that, then he sold the truck for a new 6500.
i want one like that that can haul a goose as well... MMMM, camping at Moab with my blazer... oh, blazer doesnt drive either... once i start and finish school ill post up waht i will be driving. give me about 6 months
First big rig that I drove.... My neighbor was using my driveway to polish his truck. 1997 Peterbilt with 1 million miles on it. So clean on the inside that you felt you needed to shower before getting in. We did all the rosewood dash,arm rests,steering wheels...etc..then he went and sold it..:doah: :doah: :doah: .. But thats ok...he is getting ready to order a brand new on one and we are going to:bling: :bling: :bling: the new one... Rick

nah, just regular underlift/twin winch recovery truck. thats a crane truck you see the boom on the other side of the wrecker. its nice being so long for a single axle that it can handle large trucks(tandems, and light semi's) yet not a tandem so it can manuever and get into tight spots well.
yeah, it seems no matter what ya buy for a wrecker may it be medium duty, full duty, rotator or small 1 ton... you will have to have a couple other trucks... i still say thats a beauty ya got pulling that dump with
ya, we are a repair shop mostly, so dont invest as much in the trucks as a full on towing company, so we manage to get by with 2. that kenworth and a 19' IH flatbed with a stinger. the rollback can get anything from skidsters small cars to one ton dually crew cab pickups on the bed, anything bigger, super heavy or super tall the kenworth can get.
This looks exactly like the truck I had when I pulled an end dump for an old boss of mine running decorative rock and cinders between Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and New Mexico. I pulled a 40' polished aluminum frameless Trail King with a color matched tarp. The only thing this one is missing from what I had on mine are the LED chicken lights...had them running along the bottom of the bumper, on the front of the breathers, under the cab and the sleeper. She sure was purty all lit up at night. My sleeper had the double bunks(bunk beds), fridge, microwave, leather interior, power windows, American Class interior(rosewood dash) and all the chrome and bling bling on the dash my wallet could handle. She had a C-15 CAT rated at over 500hp with an Eaton Fuller 18 speed. Sometimes I still wish I worked for him so I could still drive my baby, at the time I was the only to driver her, picked her up at the dealer with just over 400 miles on her(they brought her to Tucson from Fontana, CA).
