I'm trying to plan ahead for when I buy a cab over camper.

I've seen some of the trucks out there with a special extended hitch that extends under their campers. I'm talking about the large slide in campers that hang about 2 or 3 feet beyond the back bumper.

Any pics or discriptions would be extremely helpful.

    hehehe
Ya I researched this one quite a bit.
Sence you want to get a BIG camper 11.5 or 12footer you realy only have two choices for heavy towing & you better have a DRW towrig...

The Super Hitch has better numbers but # 2 is Reese TowBeast (formaly know as The Titian).
Check the link above..they have a comparison chart on the two.

    Have Fun

Of course I have a DRW rig. I asked Jason P. what I should get. My tow rig is my avatar.

I bought the Reese 2.5", 14000lb hitch bar. I actually bought it thinking that it was a regular 2", 10000lb. When I realized what it was, I just figured that I would go ahead and start buying all of the parts I need since I'm heading in that direction anyway. I still need the adjustable ball mount and figure out what hitch to buy. Do the Reece and the Super Hitch mount the same?

    Duno?
I have a Reese 2.5" calss V too. My camper is only 9.5' so I only needed about 6-8" of extension to make sure my trailer does not hit the camper on tight turns or backing up.
So I ended up using one of these:

    With one of thease:

Thease are the BIG 1 1/4" shank mounts.
The main reason I used thease parts to extend my hitch was simply cuz I bought them in a kit:

    The Resse Straight Line 1200
Back when I was budjeting my towing equipment I thought I would need a WD setup. My 10K trailer's performance has been great and I have not added the WD setup to my trailer yet as I don't think I will need it.
But the extra long SOLID shank along with the ball mount 'head' put my hitch's ball right out to the edge of my truck camper..perfect!

Go here to see the Reese accessories:

    Good luck
