Ok I haven't been a real huge fan of the TST PMCR but I am going for big numbers and that seems to be what you need to run so I installed mine with R49 remote last week. Beings that my Super phat 66 has not shown, nor my double disk I removed my flashpaq. After reading the directions I set the controller to 4 and torque to 4 as well. I got to say that I am not impressed at all! The truck has zero bottom end.... and just after it lights the turbo there is another hesitation like it is running out of fuel or the chip is defueling??? I am running a FASS 150 so there should be no issues with fuel supply. The top end is somewhat comparable to my flashpaq but bottom and mid is not even close. Please advise... is this normal? Mike
That doesn't sound right. I've driven a TST equipped '06 with a BD super B turbo, and it flat ran for what it is. I've seen the same truck slide all over the place launching on the strip in 4wd, I'd say bottem end isn't a problem. People usually rave about the PMCR, maybe you got a bad one.
Try bumping the torque number up a few notches. That should help increase low end fueling. Did you get the "mild" program intended for smaller single turbos, or did you get one of the two twins programs? The mild starts coming on at 12psi boost and is all in by 20psi if I recall, whereas the twins programs start fuelling at 4psi and are all in by 12.
I have the standard program. Actually your a bit backwards, the standard fuels from 0-full boost, the twins is at full fuel by 12psi of boost. Just got off the phone with tst, they think that the cp3 is not keeping up, just doesn't make since with no other fueling mods and the box at only 4/4. Mike
Ok, first off, injectors? What size. Second, what is your fuel pressure at the cp3 with the FASS? I am running a 200gph operating at 45psi. Third, if you have the standard program, theres where your bottom end went. There is none. The Standard TST program begins fueling ard at 12psi and gives full fueling at 24psi of boost. The Twins program fuels hard at 2psi and gives full fuel at 12psi. With your big charger I think you need this program. Mine is running a modified twins program called twins with bigger injectors. I was standing right next to Mark Chappel when he programmed my box. I will be sending it back to him for the original twins program I think. For more bottom end, leave the Flashpaq on Performance and see how you like that. Plus, you'll get the extra revs and the top speed limiter should be gone. need more bottom end? try an Edge EZ or TS MP8. Then its really gonna rip. Better hold on. Yeah, RJF was out at the track when we pulled the 12.73. Anything over 18lbs of boost and it just burns the tires leaving the line! burnout All 4 of them!
Nope, he's right, as stated, normal program doesn't fuel till 12psi. Thats why you don't have anything then all the sudden it kicks in.
Not worth arguing over, that is what I thought as well but when I responded I had just finished talking to mark and was stating what he had corrected me on. By the way it hits at about 30psi, I would be really happy if it hit at 12psi. Stacked with the superchip and can't wipe the smile off my face. thanks for your help Mike
