I just purchased a 2000 chevy 2500hd 4x4 6.0 with 55,000 miles. I bought it from the original owner and it's in showroom condition.
I'm not too familiar with GM so I was wondering if anyone knows of any specific issues, TSBs or recalls I need to look for. Are there any problem areas ??
    Thanks in advance.

nothing on the truck for ya here from me, but welcome to towrig.com. ya might want to fill out your profile, as people in your area might be willing to hang out and wrench or whatever. also, what are you towing?

    Like Grant said welcome aboard!!

You have bought what I consider to be one of the best Gasser tow rigs out there. I know that the early 6.0s like yours had some piston slap issues when the engine was cold. it sounds like a knock when you first start it up. Other then that I cant recall anything else at the moment.

That motor is a great choice for pulling, It likes to make its power at high RPMs. So dont be afraid of running up hills in 2nd at 4000+rpms because that is what it was designed to do. Also use the Tow/Haul button on the end of the shifter when youve got a trailer in tow.

    Good luck!!
