    Hey,

I am in the process of acquiring a 1997 Dodge Club Cab Dually. I have been walking around the site checking out the posts and what not. I can build it to race down the 1/4 mile concrete or mud, but do not have much of a clue about diesels, but my brother is an engineer for Cummins, so I get to pick his brain from time to time.

Anyways, the truck was my step-father's and he is getting a new Cummins and the dealership wanted to give him $1800 for it and I told him I would give him double that after I sold my smaller truck. He seems to be on board. I am not towing anything , yet, but I am finishing up a 1 ton Suburban that will be rolling on 50" Michelin stock, so I am sure I will need it.

She only has 200,000 miles and just got 25 mpg on a cross Texas trip 2 days ago. Totally stock.

    Where should I start?

    Welcome!
Not to be anal, but if my bro worked for Cummins, I'd better be spelling it correctly...otherwise I'd get a slap on the back of my head.:doah:

There's a few in every crowd. Hey WELCOME to the group.

I'm new to diesels myself. But, after doing a few jobs on mine, I'm finding they're not all the difficult. Run searches using different wording of the same thing. Then sit back and watch the rabbit trail come alive. Everytime I chase something I find 2-3 more things of interest.

    No problem guys.

I am thicked skinned from being in the service industry.

I really am looking forward to learning more about diesels in general, and this truck in particular.

    No matter how you spell

    CUMMINS!

BTW, sweetheart, I am up for a spelling bee anytime you would like.

So besides the shim kit and fuel plates are their any other free upgrades I can get?
