Its a Cheyenne Excab longbed , but has climate control , tilt , and all the towing goodies including coolers on everything ,3.73 gears , and the 350/4l60e/14bsf combo .

I knew it was leaking a little water when I bought it , and replaced the quick connect on the heater with a threaded fitting and 3/4 inch hose . Good to go there .

I plan on adding a large external tranny cooler , and replacing the oil cooler lines sooner rather than later .

Whats the max am I expected to haul with ? I see GVWR of 8000 on my title , and 7200 on the truck  I can theoretically haul another truck based on my Blazer weight of the trailer I have yet to find isn't to heavy .

My wheeling rig drives itself at the moment . We bought this for hauling a pop up or travel trailer we have yet to buy .I may want to tow my wheeling rig at a later date with this . Just not ready to commit to the monthly payments on a full blown late model rig . I own this k2500 outright :)

    Congrats on the purchase waytogo
Should be good for around 7300#'s towing capacity. The trans cooler is always a good idea!

I was under my dash , and appears to me the p/o did have a brake controller at one time , like he said . Very nice looking harness , the ends are plastic covered quick connects , and while they are tapped into the trucks harness , its clean . Now I have a spot to put one :thumb:

I've got almost the same tow rig as you've got. Mine's also a '93, same drivetrain, but mines a shortbed. I just bought a brake controller from a member over a CK5. I don't suppose you could get a pic of the wire setup under your dash for the brake controller and send it to me?

    Thanks,
    Rick

Sorry it took so long to get to you . Still need it ?

I do know its simple . Tap into the brake light circuit to the controller , run a line to the tow plug from the controller , add 12v to the controller .
