    So the other day I traded in the Dodge for a Tacoma. I just couldn't afford to pay for all the repairs I have been having to do on the steering and everything. Kindof a sad day but I do like the TRD... it's still got a class IV receiver :pimp:

    I'm sorry to hear about your loss of a good diesel truck, at least you got a nice little pickup you just will really notice the difference in towing.

    I don't think he towed, or ever did, so I don't think you lost anything but a more expensive insurance rate, bigger registration bill, and a much higher maintance annual cost.

    Financially compared to what you actually use a truck for, you made a very smart decision.

    If a guy isn't either towing things constantly, or towing really heavy occasionally, It makes zero sense to be paying for a diesel truck when it's not needed.

    I actually like the look of the New Tacomas despite me not being a Toyota fan. I actually like them more when lifted!;

    Actually, I did tow a few times a year for my church (sound equipment trailer) up to Utah as well as towing my buddie's chevy prerunner to Gorman every now and then. I loved the power and the normal maintenence costs wern't that bad it was just the repairs in the steering and suspension that i couldnt handle... but yes the toyota will be much cheaper (more money to spend on fun stuff).
