- take off the stock intake tube - remove the circlip and the silencer ring - put intake back together - listen to it sing a bit more
Some people have lotsa problems getting them out, takes a small screw driver or 2 to get it started, then just pull. Just like taking the snap ring off the front of a Ford F250 to get the manual hub apart (if you've done it you'll know what I mean!)
i had thought i took out the silencer, i took out a plastic baffle typ thing but i didnt take that off the turbo looks like i have something to do tommorrow
took mine off today....had me cussin for a while till i figured out what the best angle to get to it was with my screw drivers. made a lil difference in sound
just be carful not to get any metal shavings in the turbo if you guoge it with a screwdriver. mine came out in a second no prob.
Took me longer to get the intake off than pull the ring. Definitely more whistle. On a long haul, that may get annoying. We'll see...
yea mine realy dosent wissell that loud not like my PetRod . my exaust over rides a lot of the wissell
I like the exhaust alot. Definitely go for the stainless. It is worth the money. waytogo I didn't and I wish I had. I'm looking at getting tips to cover it up. Maybe black chrome. The install was a snap. Turbo back, got rid of the factory 55 gal of a muffler.... It took me a little messin' around to get both sides to look even from the back. The rumble is nice. No sneaking in and out at night. My wife hears me coming a 1/2 mile away. Even the dogs know when I'm coming home.
not trying to hi-jack this thread but what about the piece of something between the the filter box and the turbo that is about 9" LONG and has the ribs and the cross piece in the center Is there anything that can be put in its place that doesn't look crappy and doen't cost an arm and a leg??
